Structural Engineer

ELM is developing a position for one full-time structural engineer.

     -Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

     -2 years minimum in structural design

     -Good communication skills - ability to work closely with Architects and relate to their needs

     -Experience with AutoCAD/Revit preferred

     -Experience designing Wood, Masonry, Steel and Concrete preferred

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

     -Assist in the development of structural calculations to support design of projects

     -Develop drawings and details to support design of projects

     -Prepare project specifications

     -Read and interpret construction documents


Structural Designer

ELM is developing a position for one part-time/full-time structural designer.

     -Minimum Education – High School Diploma/GED; Associates Degree preferred

     -A range of experience 2-10 years in Construction/Project Management

     -Good communication skills - ability to work closely with General Contractors/Architects/Engineers

     -Experience with AutoCAD/Revit preferred

     -Experience with Wood, Masonry, Steel and Concrete construction preferred

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

     -Assist in development of structural construction documents

     -Assist in shop drawing review

     -Perform site visits and prepare observation reports

     -Assist in the preparation of project specifications

     -Read and interpret construction documents


Structural Steel Detailer

ELM is developing a position for one part-time/full-time structural steel detailer.

     -Minimum Education – High School Diploma/GED; Associates Degree preferred

     -A range of experience 2-10 years in Steel Detailing

     -Experience with SDS/2 required

     -Good communication skills - ability to work closely with General Contractors/Architects/Engineers

     -Experience with AutoCAD/Revit preferred

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

     -Assist in development of structural steel shop drawings

     -Assist in fee development for structural steel detailing projects

     -Read and interpret construction documents
